Nursing
HASC is involved with several nursing workforce issues. The Nursing Workforce Initiative, created in 2001 by HASC, seeks to increase local nursing school enrollments by 400 in two years. The survey has been expanded to include Northern California as well. (View related links under Nursing Documents).
The Nursing Leadership Council was formed in 1990 to serve the nursing professionals of Southern California. The organization currently has more than 300 active members.
The nursing section of this site also provides links to sample documents such as a Nursing Registry Contract and a Registry Personnel File (view Nursing Documents for more details).
Healthcare Laboratory Workforce Initiative
The Healthcare Laboratory Workforce Initiative (HLWI) was created to find innovative solutions to the critical laboratory workforce shortage in California. The HLWI Advisory Group is organized in three specific workgroups: Funding and Public Relations, Advocacy, Education and Training. It manages the direction of the campaign.
