HASC / UCLA Executive Forum on Lean A Success
On September 28, HASC’s Institute for Performance Excellence and the UCLA School of Public Health hosted an executive forum on Lean Enterprise Transformations with keynote speaker Christina Saint Martin, Vice President of Performance Excellence, Stanford Medical Center, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel.
The forum spoke to hospital executives and health care leaders interested in improving their organization’s value proposition and developing a continuous improvement culture that drives innovation, executes strategy successfully, improves financial performance, and achieves greater customer satisfaction.
About the Speakers
Jennifer Wortham, Dr. PH, is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, with over 20 years of experience in operations, strategy and performance excellence for health plans and health care delivery systems. She currently serves as the Executive Director for the Institute for Performance Excellence, which is dedicated to developing and teaching the tools and techniques designed to enable health care organizations to achieve world-class performance.
Christina Saint Martin is the Vice President for Performance Excellence and Service at Stanford Hospital and Clinics in Stanford, California. Prior to Stanford, she worked in the United Kingdom’s National Healthcare Service leading transformational change programs and system-wide improvement methodologies based on the Toyota Production System. Christina is a Shingijutsu Certified Lean Leader and has led several teams on study missions to Japan.
