What’s the most efficient and effective way to organize data? Intermediate Data Management for Lean Six Sigma builds on the introductory Lean Practioners course to prepare health care professionals with competencies in analysis using MS-Excel with practical data sets. Attendees will apply the tools and techniques in a tutorial format for the first portion and then work on a case study and report out for the second portion of each section.
This course is a prerequisite for the Advanced Lean Six Sigma course and Advanced Data Management webinar.
Course Objectives
- Learn to align performance improvement initiatives with your organization’s strategic plan.
- Use Lean tools to create a Lean Improvement Pathway and standardize work flow.
- Use Value Stream Management for improvement planning.
- Learn how to lead a Kaizen improvement event.
Prerequisites
- IPE Introduction to Data Management webinar or an introductory level statistics course taken at a university or other formal educational institution
- Previous Black Belt Six Sigma education (to be verified)
- Proficiency in Excel
- A working copy of Excel with QI macros and Data Analysis Pack installed
