The Nursing Leadership Council (NLC) was formed in 1990 to serve the nursing professionals of Southern California. The organization currently has more than 300 active members in six areas: Inland Empire Area, Los Angeles Area, Northwestern Area, Orange County Area, San Gabriel Valley Area and Santa Barbara/Ventura Area.

NLC’s mission is to advance the development of effective nursing administration in the health care member organizations of the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC). They provide a discussion forum for issues relating to nursing administration, especially as they relate to Southern California; promote educational programs and activities to strengthen nursing leadership; and foster and enhance the professional image and practice of nursing.
