Hospital Disaster Management Training (HDMT)
Join us for an in-depth two-day training on hospital surge capacity management for natural disasters and CBRNE incidents.
As a result of attending this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe LA County’s disaster capabilities
- Identify triage priorities in disaster patients
- Perform a role in the hospital command center & emergency department during disaster drill
- Describe the health care facilities role in a disaster
This two-day course features:
- Lectures
- Skill sessions
- Tabletop and functional exercises
- Immediate exercise evaluation and feedback
- Continuing education credits
Target Audience: This course has a broad
approach with both a clinical and non-clinical target audience
that includes but is not limited to hospital administration,
physicians, nurses, emergency care technicians, safety, security,
facilities, mental health, ancillary, legal/risk management,
human resources, educators, clinic and first receiver
staff.
Basic awareness of hospital operations, hospital emergency
management, and CBRNE is required.
