Annual Events

The Hospital Association of Southern California delivers high-quality programming to our membership, providing several major annual conferences and special events. These membership events bring together hundreds of health care and community leaders from across the region. 

Attended by as many as 500 individuals, these annual conferences offer outstanding corporate sponsorship opportunities for businesses and organizations interested in reaching these powerful decision makers.

Southern California Patient Safety Colloquium – January 

This one-day conference aimed at chief executives and other top health care decision makers in health care. The event provides hospitals with the tools to embrace new quality and patient safety best practices while reducing costs. HR Issues Conference – January 

This interactive one-day seminar presents timely, critical information on issues that impact human resources within hospitals and health systems. Experts present the most recent legislative changes, labor union strategies and tactics, and review the current regulatory climate of the National Labor Relations Board. The conference attracts human resources executives, labor relations specialists, in-house legal counsel among others in human resources-related areas. Palliative Care Conference – February 

This one-day conference is designed for palliative care program teams from hospitals, integrated medical groups, foundations, health plans, nursing homes, home care and hospice organizations. HASC Annual Meeting – May 

This three-day conference is aimed at hospital leaders and health care executives from throughout the region. The conference includes keynote presentations and focused breakout sessions on topics relevant to c-suite decision makers, as well as several networking opportunities. Health Care Provider Wellness Conference – June

This intensive one and a half day event draws human resources executives, benefits specialists, wellness program managers and chief nursing executives. Hospital Heroes – November 

The Hospital Hero Awards, produced by the National Health Foundation, is an annual media event honoring outstanding achievements and events that occur within hospitals throughout the HASC region. Drawing government officials and policy makers as well as leaders in health care, the event  honors health care professionals who are dedicated to patient care and those who help to create miracles for patients. One-Day Education Programs – Year-Round

Each year, HASC presents over a hundred one-day educational programs attracting audiences of c-suite, manager, and line staff professionals as well as students. Topics range from alignment in a risk-sharing landscape to patient safety, to leadership training for nurses.
